I am finally back from the holiday craziness and ready to get the blog going strong.

The year (for Frame of Mind) is beginning with a dip into something new for the FOM Series.  Thursday Jan. 7th (yes, the same day as the national title game) will feature fiber art, poetry, and a cellist.  We are laughingly calling it a small and intimate evening as the store is not very big and we expect to have a great turnout.  It should be interesting though to see how the night unfolds with 4 poets (Cassie Premo Steele, Kristine Hartvigsen, Melissa Buckner, Chris McCormick) reading and a cellist (Heidi Carey from SC Philharmonic, Treadmill Trackstar) interlacing her music into the mix.   Great fun if you ask me and I expect to see all of you out in the middle of the messy weather to support the arts in Columbia.

Ohh, and to top it off, Susan Lentz has a sneak peek of her new series “Decisions” on display for all to see.  I hear that you should be able to see the full series at a major gallery very soon.  And Virginia Scotchie has decided to keep her show up for the next couple of weeks.  Meaning this is an opportunity to see two of Columbia’s major talents in one show.
